Sessions run weekly! You can register for just one week or multiple weeks—totally up to you!

Pricing: $280 for the week (choose one or multiple weeks!)

Group: Beginner, Beginner Advanced and Intermediate/Advanced (max 6 per Class)

Required Items: paddle, tennis/pickleball specific shoes, and water. All other equipments will be provided.

Beginner

Learn the fundamentals of pickleball in this beginner-friendly class! Perfect for newcomers, you'll develop basic skills like serving, returning, volleying, and rallying, while learning rules, scoring, and simple strategies for doubles. Participants will also learn how to use proper strokes for consistent gameplay. Class sizes are capped at 6 for personalized instruction and time for gameplay. Players are required to bring a paddle, tennis/pickleball specific shoes, and water. All other equipment will be provided.

Beginner Advanced

Take your pickleball skills to the next level in this beginner-advanced class! Perfect for players who know the basics, you'll refine serves, volleys, dinks, and drop shots while learning advanced strategies, shot selection, and doubles positioning. Classes are capped at 6 students for personalized instruction and maximum court time. Players are required to bring a paddle, tennis/pickleball specific shoes, and water. All other equipment will be provided.

Recommended Player Rating: 2.5-3.0 (DUPR) Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating

Summer Camp

Intermediate/Advanced

Designed for players with solid fundamentals, you'll focus on advanced techniques such as power serves, aggressive volleys, strategic dinks and drop shots, court positioning, and doubles tactics. Participants should have the ability to hit multi-shot rallies at a higher-than-average pace. Classes are capped at 6 students for personalized coaching and maximum play. Players are required to bring a paddle, tennis/pickleball specific shoes, and water. All other equipment will be provided.

Our Coaches

Our experienced coaches, Eric and Lucas, have over 15 years of combined playing and coaching experience and currently operate Apex Court Academy in the local area. 

Lucas Rosenberg

Lucas is a dedicated tennis and pickleball coach with a USTA rating of 5.0. With years of experience working with players of all levels, he's committed to helping you reach your full potential. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, Lucas can tailor his coaching to your specific needs.

Eric Dennis

Eric Dennis has been playing tennis for over 20 years and competed in USTA tournaments before earning a spot on the University of Redlands tennis team. After graduating with a degree in English and a minor in Economics, he transitioned to coaching.

FAQs

1. What is the refund policy if a person cancels? Are there any late registration fees or early bird discounts?

Refund policies are determined by Hillsborough Recreation. Currently, there are no additional fees or discounts.

2. What are the drop-off and pick-up locations? Are there specific instructions or parking guidelines?

For sessions at North School in Hillsborough, please use the main parking lot. Click here to get the location

3. Is early drop-off or late pick-up available for students?

Early drop-off options are under consideration; updates will be provided once confirmed. Late pick-up is not available.

4. What happens if a session is canceled due to weather? Are there rescheduling options or refunds?

In the event of weather-related cancellations, we offer either a credit for another session or a full refund.

5. Do students need to bring their own equipments, or are they provided?

The students should bring their own rackets. They can also purchase the equipments at Tennis Town and Country in Palo Alto, where a 15% discount is available when mentioning our program.

6. With 8 players per court, how many coaches will be available?

Each court will have 2 coaches, ensuring personalized attention and guidance.

7. What follow-up options are available after the classes, such as fall classes or tournament opportunities?

We plan to offer fall classes for students interested in continuing their pickleball development. Registration for these classes will be available through Apex on our website.
